Little bit concern with my CPU setup.

Okay, I have Q6700 running at 3.5ghz stable, my problem is that will I be bottleneck due to my DDR2 memory vs DDR3? Oh and since left 4 dead 2 is multi core does that mean dual core only not quad core? I really want to know if i'm taking full advantage of my PC.

Thanks
Michael

your RAM is not bottlenecking you at all. Your CPU max FSB matches the Memory's so unless your overclocking the FSB its fine.. 4gigs as of now is fine for pretty much every game out there, you can go for more memory if you want too but it would not be as effective as investing it into a better video card or something like that. 6-8 gigs just isnt necessary

When you run L4D enable Multi-Core support to take full advatage of the CPU. isnt much you can do after that i dont think.

Thanks for your input, okay so DDR2 is not bottlenecking any of my system componets correct?

Left 4 dead 2 Multi-core support means 4 cores are just 2?

if you dont plan on putting your FSB higher than 533 on your motherboard the DDR2 is not bottle necking anything.

from what ive read, L4D2 does seem to use all four cores, I dont own a quad core so i cant check it. but from what ive read, yes

You should go look up DDR2 vs DDR3 tests if you want to further inquire about a possible bottleneck
