Bored.

So, want to see how ambient temps effect my computer.

Room temp in my house was 74F. All windows closed. Computer on, at 2.7Ghz, running 52C load on my processor, 49C on my GPU (idle), and 34C on my HD.

I opened my window. Its 34F outside. I'm going to check temps again in 30 minutes. Anyone want to guess?

Lmao oh yeah.

EDIT: 3-5 degrees lower would be like having no HSF at all.

Just thought I'd add:

My computer is like a foot away from the window. Just added a fan to bring in cool (read: cold) air.

(15 minutes in...feet freezing...)

I want to do this as well. The way my case and CPU cooling is setting is highly dependent on ambient temps. So once it gets cold again outside on a dry day I want to take my PC on the back porch and test it out.

well now that you brought a fan into the mix its a totally different story.... now I have to recalulate the ambient temps... and run it through my super computer with 100 Thz and I should get an answer for you. how many cfm is the window and fan the dimensions of the room. Length, width and height. This might take a little bit....

HAHA I win lol, I came pretty close to that.

I guessed 38-42 cpu, 41-43 for your gpu and about a degree or two above ambient for your hdd.
