hey guys, i basically use my computer for scientific simulations (CPU intensive molecular interactions), rendering, and programming (gaming on the side
) being at the top of the list. It is on 24/7, never turned off, folding at 60% currently when I'm not home and 80% when I'm home and not using it.

at 100% load on both cores WITHOUT throttling, it gets in the high 50s and reaches 60 after a long time, goes between 58-59-60-58-59 in TAT
(core 1 is 4C lower)

it folds in the 50s. Is it ok to be in the 50s 24/7 with some hours in the low 60's? I want to keep this rig for a while.

yay i see duckieho watching this thread ill get a good response

Sure. Intel specs have at it around 62C and that is probably calculated for non-stop usage for a few years. The processors are designed to last around 10 yrs or more.
