it would definitely help with page load times. Why not just set up a separate web cache, of coarse you would need a L4 switch to handle the redirect. The only reason I suggest this route is I am not sure of what kind of load if any running it in the background would be. If there is little to no load running in the background, just run it there...

Regardless I am interested in the results.
