I was looking at the 650ti but I would really like a VGA connector.

What power supply you got? I would buy a used video card from the OCN for sale section. You could pick up a gtx 570, 6950,6970, gtx 480, or 7850.

I picked up a GTX 580 from the marketplace. Its the MSI Hydrgogen watercooled 580. I have been folding it since I got it. And it still performs rock solid. Most people on here selling are reputable and will not screw you over.

Yes, just make sure the seller has good rep. Most warranties go by the serial number of the card and/or are transferable to the new owner. Before you buy a used video card just ask about warranty.

look around for a couple GTX 480s or just 1 if you have a beefy power supply, they can be had for less than 150 when used.

How are Radeon drivers? I've heard they are finicky and don't update well.

Radeon drivers are far better than they used to be, if anything Nvidias drivers are a little worse than they used to be. However I still prefer the ease of Nvidia control panel and their mass support by the gaming market.
