I'd like to mount a tablet on a rack in the kitchen from which it could be removed as needed, but I'm worried about damp hands touching it.. Build quality is important - it will probably be in constant use for most of the day, in and out of its rack.

It would mostly be used for playing music, youtube, and looking up recipes.

Any suggestions?

I would just get a tablet with an Otterbox

Mines had drinks and everything spilled on it now and is still going strong. The built in screen protector is sealed along the edges, and most have a nice rubber cover with plugs for all the ports so it seals them up good. A worthy investment for any tablet you expect to be presented with such conditions.
