What should I get for goob sound (games) and speakers I should get??? I can spend about 200 dallors. I'm a complete noob at this stuff but some people say it increase fps or decreases them with the same cards when playing games and speakers I read the guide but make sure there was quilty there.

Any ideals would be very helpful. Intergrated is ok for 4 watts speakers

Thanks in advance

But, after deciphering your request, I believe you want a sound card/speaker recommendation for gaming.

For a sound card, I'm all for the X-Fi Xtreme Music.

For speakers...I say get headphones. If you need them for gaming, as you said, you will be much better off. For headphones I recommend the Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pro-80s, pretty much anything from Sennheiser(you can go for one of their headsets such as the PC60s or just their headphones, like the HD595s), some Audio-Technicas maybe...

Oh, and go to User CP and update your system specs. Thanks.

Amped.
Look for the Creative X-Fi extremeMusic for a sound card. People will say its similar to other cards out there and just more expensive. What they dont know is how good the drivers are for X-Fi. X-Fi is the best sound card money can buy, hands down. As for speakers, Creative and Logitech make some nice ones. Id say hit up a best buy to actually listen to them, then buy them somewhere cheaper.
I would recomenedthe DTS explosion it is about 80 and will get the same quality as the buggy X-fi crap. you can fill a office building with the reports of the X-fi chipset having all kinds of issues..

Headphones??? hell no...you want to be able to enjoy showing that sound off to your friends! buy the logitech z-5500 and you set. with the combo of the DTS xplosion and the z-5500 you will be over you budget buy about 100 but you will have great sound!

PS I have both of these and they ROCK.

Really? It's ridiculous to ask him to follow an incredibly simple set of rules? I apologize, then.

Generally I would go for quality in games(as he requested suggestions for) rather than the ability to show off to friends. Even so, showing off to friends wouldn't be that difficult, you'd pretty much just have to hand them the headset.

you want deep bass with a good subwoofer when those tanks in BF2142 fire that big old gun, you want to feel it in you chest ..you can't get that with a pair of headphones.

I suggest you try out a nice pair of audiophile cans, then.

trust me... you can, more so then with speakers, you have to wear headsets to actually believe just how amazing they are, theyre clear and since the sound is right next to ur ear u can hear every little detail, without having to worry about ur family or anything because of loud speakers, go and buy an icemat siberia, they cost about £40 but theyre the best upgrade over speakers ever! Im getting an X FI soon (which one however im still deciding
)
As for a soundcard X FI Xtreme Music should be fine however if u have the cash and u play battlefield 2/2142 you may as well get the xtreme gamer as that'll give you a nice performance boost

Hope I helped

isn't the only difference between the gamer and the music just the software more or less? I honestly can't remember

For gaming, most people would choose an X-Fi card but basically all you're paying for (in terms of sound) is EAX 5.0 support because there are other cheaper, better sounding cards out there that will only support up to EAX 2.0. A good example would best the M-Audio Revolution 5.1 which has superior sound quality than an X-Fi and has EAX 2.0 for gaming purpose. X-Fi should give you higher FPS in gaming because it was designed for gamers.

I can't help you with speakers though because I don't know much about them [yet].

Actually some good, closed headphones will give you a much tighter bass than speakers because of the isolation it provides. It's not as muddy as the bass you get from certain speaker systems and they can have a lot of thump in them that you can feel.

The only real difference between the XtremeMusic and XtremeGamer (Non-Fatal1ty) is the lack of I/O connections on the XtremeGamer. The difference with an XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro is that you get 64MB of X-RAM for games that uses it (like Battlefield games).
