If you want a good general setup, get proper headphones, such as Sennheiser HD558s, and either a ModMic or desktop mic, such as Blue Yeti Pro.
Careful with the microphone on those though - me and some friends had ours and tended to take them around packing them and taking where ever we were going. After awhile 3/4 either broke completely or just cut in and out with a ton of distortion. I don't know if it's a loose connection from taking the microphone in and out but on my warantee set I left the microphone out almost all of the time as I didn't really take them anywhere and they lasted a year, until the left ear cup went on them. They're really comfortable though too after the earpads get some wear into them.Originally Posted by hawkeye071292
Update: I actually picked up a pair of Siberia headphones. Best buy price matched amazon/newegg so I got them for like $109.

I am really liking these headphones, especially with the roll in mic. Since I dont use a mic very often anymore, it is really nice to be able to get it completely out of my peripheral vision when gaming.
Thanks for the heads up! I was getting the feeling that that would be the weak part of them. Since I rarely use my mic, its going to be in most of the time anyway.Originally Posted by Nagello

They were a decent price, and honestly the bass is really good in them. Much better sound quality than my Logitech G930s were. Plus, they had me sold when I stuck my finger through the box and touched the ear cuff. They feel incredible, super light, and dont move or slip off.
