Looking For New Monitor..

339 Views 8 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  ML Infamous
I am in the need of a new monitor.

What I am looking for is:

22" - 30"
Overall Good Monitor
Minimal Back Light Bleeding
Vivid Colors (Blacks are Black and not Grey)
VESA Mountable

If the monitor is 22" or 24", I will be using them in a dual monitor set up.

Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Take it from me, this on awesome monitor, and it fits your criteria very well. If you are looking for instant gratification, Best Buy currently has these for 426.99, with no rebates needed. Only $7 more and you have it right away!
Just keep in mind the Samsungs aren't VESA mountable. You have to buy a separate bracket for it. Which I wish you didn't have to do 'cause that's the only thing keeping me from getting another Samsung.
Yea, I just noticed that, i'm changing my requirements a bit.

New H-IPS panel tchnology has better black depths, wider color gamut and much less backlight bleedthrough than the TN T240 panels panels linked above and even beats the slightly older PVA tech (S-PVA for Samsungs high end 245T)
All of which are features you requested for your "short list"!!

Yes, it's a little more expensive, but, the improvement in picture quality is vividly apparent!
One of the few H-IPS displays that isn't an astronomical price:
HP LP2475w
(Yes, it's what I have; and, yes, normally it really really bugs me when people ask for recommendations and the replies are "get the *whatever I have* It's the best"
); but, in this case- I mean it -It's a stunningly gorgeous display!

First Hand Experience = The Best

If you have a camera around, I'd love to see some pics of it.

I looked at them but they aren't suppose to be as nice as the 20" and have back light bleeding.

How is yours?
