Hello everyone!

I am using two WDs 500Gb WD5000BEVT as storage for my Desktop.
I bought them mostly because they are very silent, but they can´t be used as storage because of the Idle3 feature, that makes the HDD to stop spinning after 8 (or 4) seconds.

That feature makes the Windows navegation through the storage HDDs very annoying because it freezes for 2 to 3 seconds during the first acess.

I tryed WDidle3 tool but it didnt work and have read about other solutions, but none of them worked or fitted my needs.

Now I am looking for new 2,5" HDDs.
Requirements:

- 320GB+
- Must be silent
- Must be possible to use as Storage (tired of problems with idle3)
- Must be possible to use with a Scythe Quiet Drive 2.5" Fanless HDD Silencer (Do not cover holes problem) (http://www.frozencpu.com/products/99...l=g33c113s1182)
- It is not a "must be possible situation", but it would be nice if I could use them in RAID0.

If its a WD3200BEVT, it will probably have the same idle3 problem as my WB5000BEVT.

I use 3 OCZs Agility 2: one for windows and the other 2 for games. I am going to use the HDDs for storage.

Thats the first thing I thoguht of until i saw the 320GB requirment... big SSDs are still so expensive...
