going to college, i am taking my desktop with me, but i would like a laptop that can run most of my games on a decent setting. but it will mostly be used for videos and like maybe the mmo's that i get addicted to for a while.

At 13" you won't find a laptop with a graphics card that can play FPS at med-high settings. Best thing you may find would be one with a 6550m

It's either you go up to 14"-15'6" or you get an Alienware m11x(11") which may have a hinge issue.

This is probably the best laptop you can get for $1000-$1200, I was also looking at the Asus RoG laptops but the ones with a GTX 460m that were in your price range had the old Core i7. The 17.3" screen laptops with GTX 460m and Core i7 2630QM cost $1,300+

Not the biggest screen but is on budget ,1080p, will run almost every game on max/near max settings.
