if you want to save some $ and still have pixel shader 3.0 and not pay 100E for the card, then you can just get a plain vanilla 6600LE

edit: my bad its pci-x, for agp i'd go with either a x700 agp or a 6600LE agp.

PixelPipelines 8
OpenGL 2.0

Thos are all AGP... as you have a 478 p4 i tough you'd be on agp...

I have a 9600XT, and I can run every game in the market...
not in very high details... but in medium

Thanks a lot guys that is very helpful.
For those of you with the 6600GT how far it can be overclocked?
I mean is the limit even higher or is it from stock as far as it goes?
What resolutions should I be able to run in games with that and my current setup?

Sorry to bother you guys about this again but I have been a bit short on cash lately and I am now looking again into this. I was looking at this card http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...84&GroupID=331 compared to the 6600gt which most of you suggested . It seems that the 6600GF has much more memory and it too supports shader model 3.
Which is best?

The 6600gt is quite a bit more powerful than that. The 6600gt that was suggested to you earlier is actually a PCI-Express which is not compatible with your motherboard so I shall suggest this

Which is compatible.

That is a good card for the money right now and from the description that you provided it sounds like just the card for you. Very good for budget gaming as it will play even the newest games at medium settings and no card can really compete with that for the price.
