looking to upgrade

Im looking to upgrade my motherboard and ram I know the mb i want ( ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard ) but I don't want the best ram would for what i would wan to do. I have amd be 955 and I want to oc. I read some where that lower timeing is better for oc a BE but i don't know. I plan on getting either 4gb or 8gb depending on how much money I have to spend. I also plan getting the cm 212+ to replace the stock fan that I have on my curent build.
