My Dad's laptop has usb ports that are loose. When he plugs something in, it will wiggle around. His laptop is a Toshiba Satelite. Does anyone know how to fix something like this?
I just looked in my laptop's USB ports, and there are some metal tabs that I assume help keep devices in place. There might be a chance you could bend them up a bit to solve the issue.
i have seen where people push things in too hard and break the mounts loose inside the laptop. easy fix is to open it up and wedge something behind the port or use epoxy to keep it from moving too much.
