Hey guys, well on my sig rig, i noticed yesterday that my SSD has been losing space for no reason. I did not install anything on my SSD when it was at 19.3 gb; sometime in the evening it displayed 17.3 gb and now in the morning its 16.9 gb!

How is this happening? i restarted my comp and still the same thing! Is something writing files to my HD? Or do i need to power down and switch my PSU off so that my HD gets cleared of logs?

Zonealarm firewall will sometimes do that (if you run it). The debug file for no reason will become a cancer file and just get ...huge. I had a 74 GB debug file grow in two weeks on a client computer and it wouldn't stop until I stopped the debug function.

Temp internet files will build fast if you have broadband.

one thing you can do is to move the temp folders off the C drive. Go into the advanced system properties, then environment variables. In there, change the directories of all the temp folders to an HDD.
