hi overclock.net, me again.
i have realized that my p5n32 mobo stinks for overclocking. i am currently lookinjg at getting an asus p5b, or a gigabyte 965 ds3. any opinons on which board to get? or any other opinions on other boards for that matter.

Agreed.
However, do you plan SLI in the future (given your current board)?

i am just new to overclocking. (GF says i have to give up my jeeps) not gonna use sli, just wanna be able to tinker with something, and oc'ing seems cheap, and warm (compared to 4x4ing). i actuailly looked at the super pi results, and have choosen the boards over what other people have used in the past for successful overclocks.
i read every night about overclocking, and i think i have the basics down pat, but i also seem to get a little lost when people say different things about different boards.(if that makes sense). my goal is to achieve the highest overclock possible, not really into games anymore, just like to tinker.
thanx for the replies...

The Asus P5B Deluxe is indeed the board for you, without a doubt. It is able to achieve high FSB (500MHz or more), and it's just a good all around board. there are two version, where the only difference is WiFi capability as far I know:
