Ok, thanks. I will do that after I finish my Prime95 Torture test.Originally Posted by stubass

ok so you want to make use of your 1600 so CPU-Z should report it as 800.. What you can do is is set the XMP to profile 1 in bios or if that doesnt work you might have to bump the RAM freq multipler and a .05 or .1V bump..
chossing an XMP profile should work so try it first
oh onething your RAM running at 1330MHz with timmings of 9-9-9-24 and a cmd rate of 1T would be super awsome fast an if you can run Maxxmem^2 to bench it and show us the result. im betting it will be awsome results.
is that sapposed to be special? i have 1T on too.Originally Posted by stubass

then once you get it to 1600MHz run the test again and compare please if you have the time. cheers![]()
oh yes at 1600Mhz his RAM will be at 2T but i would like to see how his RAM performs
Wowowowowow. to think i was going to buy a motherboard so i could just clock my ram upto 1600mhz.Originally Posted by stubass

Some tests i done with my RAM (more to come) i found 12GB at 1333 9-9-9-24 1T was close to the performance of 16GB 1600 8-8-8-24 2T.
12GB at 1333 9-9-9-24 1T was a vast improvment over 12GB at 1333 9-9-9-24 2T.
Note: 16GB is full dual channel mode
12GB tests is flex mode with 8GB in dual channel with 4GB in single channel even though MaxMEM^2 reports it as dual channel
RAM used G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 1600 CL8
16GB 1600 8-8-8-24 2T
12GB at 1333 9-9-9-24 1T
12GB at 1333 9-9-9-24 2T
the second two test really show the difference between cmd rates of 1T and 2T
The real world difference between 1333 @ cmd rate of 1T compared to 1600 @cmd rate of 2T doesnt seem worth it tho if i can get my RAM to perform at 1600 @ 1T, i am expecting a very noticable jump in performance in in MaxxMEM bench results but will I notice it in normal PC operations!!Wowowowowow. to think i was going to buy a motherboard so i could just clock my ram upto 1600mhz.![]()
tell me when you get 1600mhz in 1TOriginally Posted by stubass

see below lol
well 16GB RAM with a CMD Rate of 1T over 2T didnt make a any difference, therefore my assumpotion was wrong lolOriginally Posted by stubass
