How do your games look? I think that is what really matters.

I think 3dmark06 is a pice of trash..
The only more graphicaly advanced game i have, however, is FEAR.
FEAR benchmark 1280X960/all settings ON/MAX
9800GT - 96 FPS average (97XX points in 3DMARK06)
7600GT - 33 FPS average (32XX points in DMARK06)
HD2600XT - 29 FPS average (52XX points in 3DMARK06)
This is funny though, HD2600XT trashes 7600GT in 3DMARK, but does not even beat it in FEAR and is 3X weaker than 9800GT.

in all honesty, if you use your pc for gaming those game benchmarks are probably what you'll care about, don't worry about 3d mark.
