Hi guys.

So I'm considering putting together a really cheap, small computer for the sole purpose of gaming emulators. I think the latest generation of games I'd ask out of it would maybe be Gamecube, but I'm not 100% sure at this point yet. Either Gamecube or N64.

I'm curious as to how much GPU/CPU power is really needed to emulate older titles. Would an AMD APU (like an A6-5400k) work great, or would it have framerate issues? Would a completely embedded system (CPU is soldered directly on the board) work better?

I'm obviously hoping to spend as little as possible so if anyone has any ideas what kind of power I'd need to do this I'd be really grateful.
