An electric motorcycle that does 130 mph and looks as good as this seems an impressive enough feat in and of itself, but Mavizen has gone even further with its new TTX02 model, just unveiled at SEMA. Billed as a "laptop on wheels" it features a dedicated IP address, on-board web server, WiFi and Linux. Born of Team Agni's TTXGP race-winning electric motorcycle team, the bike is slated for a limited production of only 50 units, with a price of about $42,000 and a delivery date in early 2010

Sounds pretty cool to me. But I gotta say the use for a webserver built into a bike still makes me wonder..

The designers must be big Shadowrun fans.
Looks like a kid made from a Kawasaki Ninja and Batman. Seems like lots of people are making performance electric vehicles, like Tesla and stuff. 130 MPH isn't too shabby for something that runs of laptop batteries like the Tesla.

I think the only use for that, would be real time diagnostic checking while doing racing.
Only 130?

That's SUPER Slow. Especially for what they want to do with it.

Supermoto isn't for some half assed bike that takes forever to charge when it runs out.

Until a viable source comes out for electric vehicles that powers them for a decent time, quick recharge, and doesn't weigh a ton; is the day that they will be used in high speed sports.
130 MPH for a electric vehicle is pretty decent IMO. It's MUCH better then what they were 3-5 years ago.

I keep telling my managers this is what we need to develop (work for a well known manufacturer)

but its still rubbish.

You can get a electric RC Car near and sometimes over 130MPH...

it just seems like the people thinking up new things are sleeping.

42,000 for a bike that under performs and doesn't make much noise... no thanks.

I agree, moving in the right direction. It's quite there yet, but moving there.

RC cars also don't have 180lbs of rider strapped to them. And people also thought many other technologies were too expensive, and underperforming. We are now using many of those technologies now.

I think this thing is amazing. Petroleum is totally unsustainable as a fuel source, and I applaud anyone willing to contribute positive things to rid ourselves of it. Also, there will come a day when electric vehicles outperform their combustive counterparts, it's only a matter of time.

Honestly I'm not sure. My guess is something to do with tuning, specs, and maybe a easy way to monitor the bikes vitals while going around the track.
I would guess for the consumer it would be easier to log onto "www.whatever" , but again I'm not really sure.

What does that have to do with this at all?
