If its a AMD chipset I doubt it is going to SLI.
Nope, and as stated above its a 790FX chipset.
Which begs the question of your system configuration info. Showing you having GTX285 on a Asus M3A79-T deluxe??? hmmmmm did we just paste some dream parts in there or what? LOL
You can use a single Nvidia card in his crossfire mobo. You just can't Sli them. I hope someday soon I will have 2 4850s or 2 4870s setup.

What? It's entirely possible to run an Nvidia card in an AMD/ATi Mobo. Hell you can run 2! You just can't run them together in SLi.

Yeh, it's just Crossfire compatable.
I wanted mine from newegg at the time I got it but it was sold out. I don't remember ever seeing SLI/Crossfire on the specs. heh. Maybe it was a typo and they fixed it ? Or you seen some Intel board.

Not flaming or making ya look bad or anything.

Taken from newegg's site:
ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe Motherboard
4 x PCIe 2.0 x16 slots with ATI CrossFireXâ„¢ support (@ dual x16, triple x16 / x8 / x8, or quad x8 modes)

Lol we see a lot of them, you just fit the profile [/sarcasm]

Thats a shame to plan SLI, and not be able to without buying a new motherboard.

You should see if anyone is willing to trade mobos with you on the forum here, when you get enough rep

It has to be a mistake bud, Its impossible to run SLI on an AMD chipset. I have the motherboard myself, which btw is amazing board, But I ran an NVidia card in it until my 4850's came, and it worked ok, but I can tell the major difference running NVidia on an AMD Chipset.

Might I suggest selling your 285 and getting a 4870x2 or 2 x 4870's. Youll love that performance I assure you! Thats if you want to keep that magnificent board.
If you really like your 285 (which I understand also) there is a very good market for the motherboard as well.
