At worst when you put the chip in it will be downclocked and run slow until you can flash the BIOS. It should work regardless though. There was an issue with another member here a week or so ago if I remember right where this was discussed.

There isn't much difference between the 965 C3 and C2. The C3 has hardware c1e and just clocks better. Fundamentally they are the same.
