I would agree with GermanyChris on this one. Apple usually seems to be the first to get the refreshed CPUs so when they get them, the rest of the world will get them shortly.

Yeah, that is pretty true. Can the computer handle 10.8? I am thinking the 3,1 could. I would go to that over 10.7.

Wait.... I looked the 3,1 up in MacTracker and you are right. It only supports up to 10.7. Sorry to doubt.

I have a MacBook Pro 13 Mid 2009 2.26GHz Core 2 - 8GB - 64GB SSD boot - 500GB Data (replaced optical drive)

iPhone 5S 8.1.2 - 16GB

I'd personally say no. A computer running OS X is just that, a computer running OS X, just like if you solely ran windows on a mac (for argument sake I know someone who does), it's still a mac

I prefer it over smc fan control as you can change what sensors the fan speed is based on, and can change the temp where speed starts to increase. I also like how there's a windows version too, for bootcamp.
