So I'm at my cousin's place all weekend for Thanksgiving and they are a Mac family. Of course my greedy side came out and by the end of the trip I was craving to own a Macbook or G5 or something mac!

One of the coolest features about my cousins' macs are the Speech program. For those of you who have never seen it, you just turn on the app and through voice recognition, it will open apps, or perform tasks you ask it to. For example, you can say Open iTunes to open itunes, etc. You can also set commands to perform keystrokes or open specific webpages and type in the text you wish to say to open said task. My cousin had his Macbook set to open his Hotmail whenever he said "Open the pod bay doors please, HAL"

Does ANY application exist for windows to do this? It is SOO cool!!

dragon speak?
that other one by IBM?
although I am still looking for an app that will answer me when I shout "What the feck does that mean?" at a windows error...
Maybe i can bind "waht the feck does that mean?" to copy the error text, open a web-browser and go to the most relevant answer

ok well i discovered that with office xp it has a built in speech to text that works fairly well, not the greatest, but still works. It only converts speech to text, i want to find a 3rd party program to covert commands to open applications. Any help???
