yea that is good service.. apple hooked my dad up with his apple cinema display. h ehas a 23" one and it had some problems sent him a box.. and he sent it out, got it back real fast, but i had developed a different problem.. so apple took car of that, and then offered him a free Isight cameran and new ipod shuffle. Now he is having problems witht hte monitor again, he saw someithing like a burn in that he hasnt seen before. Apple said they would take care of him and he asked about a laptop and they offered him a laptop as a swap for his monitor. pretty decent if you ask me.. just sucks that he is having problems witht the monitor. I guess thats what you get from buying from ebay.

My personal story can describe the quality of Lenovo's tech support.

My dad's T60p had a plastic piece of the frame fall into the monitor. He called tech support, and they overnighted him a pre-paid box. He put his T60p in, gave the number on the box a call, and 1.5 hours later a guy came a picked it up. (That was Friday around 4:30 PM). Monday morning at 8AM the same guy was back with the computer. Not only had Lenovo replaced the monitor, they replaced the harddrive that had a suspected faulty component, put a new battery in (everyone knows about the battery problems), and updated the BIOS and all the drivers. When you get all that, and a 60 hour turnaround, that is service....

On my T-23, the CD drive died. Got a new one a few days later..
Later, a key on the keyboard popped off. Call tech support. Next day a BRAND NEW keyboard was sent to me, and they walked me through installing it.
(Btw- I bought this REFURBISHED and it was already OLD)
My dad had the same lappie.. HD died. Was sent a new 30 Gig HD. Walked through installation.

You missed the point. I can't find and PC notebooks that have system configurations, reliability and custom service like Apple.

Look at the customer support ratings.
You simply cannot touch Lenovo (IBM) or Apple. Lenovo is more designed for a workstation / top-end business user. I really like what Apple puts in their systems.

I apologize. I really did miss the point on that one! OS X does have some lovely features that you just can't really get with Windows. iPhoto, iDVD and iMovie and Garageband(or iLife, which comes with every new Mac) is a really nice suite for basic photo editing and video editing and authoring. Also, no viruses! w00t! I just also think it sorta looks prettier. And it's unix, which I stated earlier, I really love and is also rock-solid. The whole "supports almost anything you plug in without installing drivers" is whole a nice feature. You might just go to an Apple Store and screw around with Mac OS X. It's actually really nice.
