E8400 E0-4.5ghz capable @max stock specified voltage and proper cooling of course.
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P Less than 6 months old.
OCZ Reaper DDR2-1066 2x2GB.
Lapped TRUE w/washer mod.

Im am going to move to i5 or i7 here in a bit seeing as the big deal is up. I will keep all my other goodies, but I need to replace the mobo, CPU, cooler, and the ram. Let me know what YOU WOULD PAY for my goodies. Thanks, +rep for the good ones....

E8400 - $120-$140
UD3P - $80
RAM - $65-75
TRUE - $50

My personal opinion: going to i5 from your rig won't give you any benefit, maybe 2-3fps more in quad core enabled games, and a Q9550 would be cheaper for that. The E8400 OCd can still play with the best of them. It would be like upgrading from a 4870x2 to a 5870. It is technically better, but it probably isn't worth the cost.

Seeing as I will not be paying retail price for the CPU it will make up the cost of the upgrade. Thanks to all who gave my a reasonable ballpark at what I thought was reasonable +repz!
