Maintenance WC, when and how often?

Hello Guys,
I am very new at water cooling, and I am doing some research at the moment. My question right now would be when you talking about maintenance the wc system, is it mean you only change out the water mix? Beside from that, is there anything else? Also, how often I would have to do this?

Thank you

i change fluid every 1-2 months just because mines cheap (distilled, a little anti freeze, and some dye) but i completely disassemble and clean my blocks about twice a year
If you use a lot of additives, your maintainance should include cleaning out blocks

but most maintainance includes draining the water, filling it back up with pure distilled water to flush, then back up with new original coolant...

I think every ~6 months is a safe recomendation for the crazy ones but you can go a year without changing the water and be fine

I woudln't know though, I mess with and upgrade my stuff too often to find out heh
I use only distilled water and PT nuke, and I change my water about every 3 months, or when upgrades call for it

Which ever is sooner.

yeah I usually only include PT Nuke, Feaser corrosion blocker (starting to think its not needed), distilled water, a drop or two of dish soap to raise PH a tad and remove surface tension, and lately i been using dye but I might skip that because Im noticing crap starting to form in my stuff

I disagree with that.. cheap tubing is very hard to work with to the point where it could leak because its so difficult to bend.

Happened to me when I got cheap crap from Home Depot, 20 feet for $6, every barb leaked even though it was clamped. It was like trying to bend PVC pipe too

Mastkleer is dirt cheap and some of the best tubing I've ever used.

agreed. I use masterkleer, and it is sometimes hard to make tight bends, but the cheapness is worth it.

This is my trick for tight bends however:
notice the nylon clamps to keep the tubing from closing at the bend

I dont consider Masterkleer dirt cheap. I use MasterKleer FYI and its millions of times better than any other tubing I have used thus far barring Tygon which i am getting some off for a trial to see how much "better" the ******ed expensive stuff is

For $8 I got 10 feet of Masterkleer, good deal. $6 got me 2 feet of Tygon.
Both are great tubing

The $6 i spent at Home Depot turned to be 100% waste as the tubing is hardly usable.

I love the nylon clamps on the tubing LOL!
