It would be quieter and more cooling depending on the 2 fans you would use. But quieter at least. The only probem is you have to make sure that your fan and cpu heatsink will fit inside the case.

Also be sure to get your self a big half circle file to clean up the cut afterwards. Some 220 grit sand paper is good for deburring the inside edge. The dremel will work, but you will really need the file then since those silly discs only cut straight segments. I can tell you from the 250mm fan I have, it really is pretty dissapointing performance wise tho. Its there for the wow factor more than anything, and I assure you it will work really well to that end. However airflow wise it probably moves about the equivalent of 1.5 average 120mm fans. And its not even that quiet. For the best performance i would say use 4 120mm fans. Those you can cut with a hole saw really easy, and you would get way better actual performance and probably even less sound if you undervolted or had them fan controlled. |

Try the electrical tape and if the vibration is that bad just get the fan dampeners. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185059 or these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185060 perhaps. I have the 2nd ones and they are pretty loud but move a ton of air. |
