I am looking to download music videos and burn them to DVD for a party we are having so we can play them on the tv and have music at the same time.

What is the best way to do this? Im new to this and have never made a DVD. What is the best way to get them at a quality size so they show up on the tv nicely?

I did this too, except I was using my DVD Recorder and then editing out the videos I didn't like.
Are these videos XviD? WMV? What are their resolutions, bitrate? From my experience using a poor souce (streamed music video for example, 300kbps) it will look horrible.

Here is a great ressouce for XviD->DVD encoding:
another one, this time dealing with general encoding/decoding:
But the simplest way is using Nero (NeroVision I believe)... again, if the souce videos are low resolution (or low bitrate) it will look... bad. I actually encoded DVDs of music videos but also made XviDs of videos.... the latter are floating around the web somewhere... I've since deleted my encodes because of disk space issues.
Keep us posted,
