Making z-5500's work w/o pod. Mod?

717 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Krud
Hey guys, i currently have a whole z-5500 setup just without the pod. I dont want to split it off my current z-5500 system, but rather have it work all on its own, maby buy a z-5500 pod? or z-680 pod? How can i make this work......

where would i get a pod if i wanted to buy one?

or maby someone around here would be willing to sell me their pod

Its a shame that these speakers are just sitting in a box collecting dust, ide like to hook them up in my living room

Will rep+ anyone with even the least bit of help :]

You are going to need the POD Controler thing because it has the decoder and inputs.

I suggest ebay or maybe contacting Logitech.

The amplifier for all the speakers is in the subwoofer, and the pod tells the amp what signal to send to which speaker. To have the speakers work seperately from all the rest, you would have to completely rewire the system.

ok guys, thanks for your input, however i cant seem to find any pods on ebay, neither the z-5500 one or the z-690 one :[ Would the z-680 one even work for it?
I'd just contact Creative about it. I highly doubt anybody out there has a spare one just laying around.
