I know how to setup a network drive but after i installed XP, i was not able to connect to the other computer or vice versa. Is there things i have to configure before i can map the drives?

I think you have to map the drives on all the computers that will share it. That is how I did it in my home network (I hid all shares too because I'm paranoid like that
).

Edit: This is a neat little guide I found; it tells you how to map drives on the bottom:

if you cannot connect to the other computer, check your security (ie. firewall) and network settings.

once that is all good...share the folder on the host machine then map it using
\\\\computername\\sharedfoldername

sometimes you will get asked for a username and password...this is a valid username from the host machine...not the machine trying to map the drive.
