I have some matlab .m files (M-code) that I need to port to C or C# for work, but our current license doesn't include the $5,000 compiler/library package.

I know there are free/open-source Matlab-alternatives (such as R or SciLab), but I'm unfamiliar with these, other than their existence. Does anyone know of a way to port my m-code from matlab to C/C#, perhaps through an intermediate program such as R (though not necessarily)? Matlab -> open-source program -> C/C#
