Please wait for a site operator to respond. You are now chatting with '****' ****: Hello. Thank you for using the Intel Customer Support chat service. We are glad to be of service. How can I help you today? [email protected]: Hi ****: welcome [email protected]: I have purchased an I5 2500K [email protected]: And I was wondering what the maximum voltages are on air cooling? ****: do you mean the RPM? [email protected]: No I mean the Vcore ****: ok ****: this is the main page of this processor: ****: Intel(R) I5-2500K: ****: now let me gather that information, please wait [email protected]: Just to clarify, I mean what are the recommended safe voltages for 24/7 use? ****: The range should be Minimum 0.25 volts and Maximum 1.52 volts ****: You can confirm this information at the following url: ****: http://download.intel.com/design/pro...hts/324641.pdf ****: Page 78 ****: Is there something else I would be able to assist you with? [email protected]: So it is safe to use my CPU at 1.52V 24/7? ****: yes sir, it will very important if you are going to use 1.52 volts, the ram should work with no more than 1.5 volts as well, if you use ram with more than this voltage the processor memory controller could be damage [email protected]: So it's safe to use as long as I keep my RAM voltages bellow 1.5V? ****: correct, you may use 1.5 without issues [email protected]: Thank you, that is all my questions. |
