2-2-2-5 is nice but what ddr rate can you run those timings on dictates how good the ram is.
ocz vx can do 2-2-2-5 at 250fsb if you run 3.4-3.6 volts through it and it might even reach 260 if you are lucky.
my gskilk le is running 275 fsb at 2.5-3-3-7 at only 2.65 volts which actually beats ocz vx running 2-2-2-5 at 250. My gskill will also do 2-2-2-5 up to around 220 fsb with no problem. If I had an upward multi this would be the best. My proc is stable to about 2.5 ghz for 24/7 operation.
To max out your comp it is best to run a mem divider and get the highest stable ghz your cpu can run and then buy the memory that will max out the cpu at the highest fsb setting you can run. For example if you have a chip that maxes at 2.6 ghz you can get some ocz vx and run a 10x260 and hope your meme can run 2-2-2-5 at that setting while constantly putting 3.4+ volts through it all the time. I went with the gskill because I can run a slightly slower timimg and get better performance at 9x275 than I would at 10x250 running the ocz vx and I didn't need to do a volt mod or buy a ddr booster to do it either. All that extra voltage does add quite a bit of heat to your case as well.
oc that corsair and let us know how high you can get at 2-2-2-5 and how many volts you are running through it.
