I am overclocking my E6700 and OCZ PC2-6400 memory.
The CPU can hit 3.6GHz easily with a multiplier of 8 and an FSB of 450, allowing the memory to easily run at 900MHz (effective) with a 100MHz overclock. The problem I face is with timings; I leave them set to 'auto', the stock timings are 5-4-4-15.
The rule of thumb around here is Intel's benefit more from higher clocks. Of course there is a limit to this but real world with the speeds and latency's you can get speed has the advantage in most circumstance.
