I got Asus Sabretooth P67 motherboard and OCZ Obsidian 2 x2GB DDR3 PC3-12800 RAM

for some reason i cant get the RAM to run on 1600Mhz

when i open Asus AI suite it shows 533Mhz that times 2 = 1066Mhz

i tried setting freq in bios but it wont matter AI Suite still shows 533mhz
can any one help me?

What does cpu-z show?

Does it save the settings on bios? If not then I would clear cmos and start again, run everything on default on only change dram volts, timings (to default rated) and select speed to 1600mhz, then check with cpu-z.

Asus AI suite is lying to you.

Its at 1600.

BIOS shows i am at 55C idle thats pritty hot :/

tho AI suite shows 30 at Idle

Try coretemp or HWmonitor.

55idle seems fairly high to me.

Idle doesnt mean much, its load that matters.

BIOS temps aren't IDLE temps. Ignore them unless they are stupid hot 70+.

In bios I think I'm at ~42C. Idling in windows at 26C.

Yes, are you using the stock cooler?

Prime95 blend is the best test for Sandy Bridge CPU's at the moment.
