With my CPU I'm allowed between either 2:6 or 2:8 for the memory which sounds better?

a: 1270 MHz 6-6-6-18 1t

or b: 1690 MHz 7-8-7-20 1t

6-8-7-18 59 1t, an improvement over the last settings. Now only if I had a 2:10 multiplier

In that case definitely timings you'll notice the difference in response. Make it easier on the imc as well.
Why don`t you just benchmark it with maxxmem or somthing.
I had some setting and i thought that there were better than before but the bench proved otherwise

Option A is leaps and bounds faster. You just have to test each combo out for yourself with memory benching programs like MaxxMem2
Yea do some maxxmem benchmarks.

And subbed for the results
ok, gonna test out that program....results in. Surprising?
Great results. That should help you decide. And tbh, I kinda saw that one through
Just look for that sweet spot between the two.

Good RAM, man~

I always saw it as AMD is best with lower speeds & tighter timings and Intel is best with higher speeds and looser timings.

I honestly saw no difference between 1600mhz 7-7-7-20-1T vs 1333 6-6-6-18-1T.

Same here. Except I run Cas 8 at 2133.

Why that is certainly what I am hoping for...I just bought 2x4Gb 2133Mhz CL9 Ripjaws...
