Just to double check, they are all CO stepping, and have a maximum multiplier of 23.

Max HWBOT is 5.8 GHZ for the 950, max hwbot is 5.65 GHZ for the 920. From this I conclude that 950s are all CO steppings, and don't clock too well.

If anyone wants one from Microcenter, I may make a trip into Boston. Pm me.

Hope they don't stop @ $230 for the price drop and make it to $200 so I can finally buy one for the mobo I bought for it.

The 950 is a "D0" stepping, the 940 was the "C0" stepping. However, you are correct that most "D0" 920's overclocked as high as the 950's, 960's or even the 975's. However, the 920's are no longer available and were replaced by the 930's which was hit or miss on overclocking. The reason you would want a 950 is if you have an older 920 or you are BCLK limited at which point the 950 gives you a higher multi to work from.

$230 is a great price, but I expect them to drop it to $200 as they run out of the 930's, I say within a month or two.

That is what I was thinking, 930's are already dropping in stock here at my lock Micro Center. Hopefully the 950 $200 price will come soon. They did the same thing when Micro Center phased out the 920.

Don't forget that the 875k is a Socket 1156 on a P55 while the 950 is a 1366 on a X58. If you need the additional PCIe lanes, then the X58 is needed.

Yup, but the 950 is not BClk limited on any decent mobo.

On the other hand, if anyone wants one I'd be glad to buy one for you for actual cost + shipping.
