I am attempting to build a modest 50 person Minecraft server. The key parts I need help with are Motherboard, CPU, and Memory. I found an inexpensive motherboard ASRock H61MV-ITX LGA $50. I am going with a MicroITX because I already have a Case for it. The computer will have 16 GB of memory. I and wondering if this will be a good fit and which CPU i3, i5, or i7 would be the best option. The server will be running Ubuntu 12.04 server with no GUI.
My worry is the motherboard. The current server i have was an old gaming computer that will not start without a PS2 keyboard plugged in. That may seem like a ridiculous worry, but i really want the ability plant this server anywhere and not worry about it.
I am looking to come in under $500 all together. This is what i have so far:
BitFenix Prodigy Arctic White Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case
