I do hear the avago 3080 sensor is very good though. Alot of the best optical mice have that sensor like the MX518.

I had the MX518 before this mouse and i really couldnt notice a difference in performance at all. just comfort.

Was very awkward to lift off due to not being able to get a good grip. Returned mine because of that.
Have you gotten this mouse yet? If not I suggest taking a look at the Razer Deathadder 3.5G. Very comfortable and has decent enough LoD I believe. Not too sure about lift off distances because as long as it works I could care less.

I do lift my mouse alot to position it. Is this mouse a no no if you lift alot then?
Perfect shape if you are a palm gamer, good sensor and high quality build

The naos vs the mx518? They both use the same sensor dont they? Would thw magic tape trick work for the naos like it does with the DA? Is the DA 1800 sensor similar to the logitech mx518 sensor?

I don't know if the 3200 works the same as the 5000 but the software allows me to change the lod to whatever I want and works like a champ on my 5000.It has a wide range of settings for this.

Only thing I have found so far is that when I start my pc out of sleep mode I have to hit a keyboard button first instead of clicking the mouse.I disabled USB legacy support in the bios but it will still malfunction and not recognize the mouse.I just use the keyboard so no big deal,I am going to send them an email on this but its a known problem in the FAQ section at their site.

Its says to disable USB mouse bios support on top of that but I could not find anything else regarding this in my bios.

I love the mouse tho and would recommend it.I came from a G7 and claw griped it mainly. This mouse is made for palm and was tryin to switch but still find mouse kinda of in between both grips with no problems. Its so comfy.

That was the reason I didn't like it, yeah. May not be the same for other folks if they hold their mouse differently, etc. I've been using the Logitech mx518/g5 shape for over five years, so it may just be that I'm used to something different. The main issue was that there was no "lip" on the right side of the mouse to grip your ring finger under to easily lift up. Instead, I had to clench my fingers inwards in order to get a good grip. Basically, it felt like I had to do more work with the Naos as far as lift off was concerned. It's a shame, because I loved everything else about it.

edit: My advice would be to see if any store nearby carries it and try it out for yourself. Or find a good online store that doesn't charge you a restocking fee or anything for returns. Dunno if it applies to all of them, but my local Frys carried it, which was surprising to me as I thought it wasn't a popular brand.
According the the sticky, it's a wannabe MX518 with a different grip. Should choose the one you're most comfortable holding.
Its gonna be hard to choose one your comfortable holding. There are only a few stores in the country that stock any gaming mice to try.Hell my Best Buy didn't have crap on display either did Micro Center.Your most likely going to have to try some friends or go off what you have read unfortunately.
I saw the Naos 5000 and the 3200 at my local Frys...
Probably one of the only stores in the country, can't hardly find them on display in these parts let alone buy one.
