Hi all, I have 2 x 2 gig set of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226072 and I want to get another 4 gigs. So when I went to buy it newegg had it deactivated... So i looked online and there are very few stores and they are overpriced.

My question is can I run this : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226134 and run it without and instability. I guess im wondering if it will default to the slower timings but still be at 1600Mhz.

I do run a light overclock and right now they are sitting at 1682Mhz. I also run the default timing of 7-8-7-20. Will it still OC but just be 8 gigs of ddr3 1600 @ 9-9-9-24? Im also assuming the latency will not be an issue, I dont think I can tell in real world events like gaming. Also would I have to manually set the timing to 9-9-9-24 in the bios?

Thanks in advanced!

you can try it, looser timings like 9-9-9-24 are decent, mine came at 9-9-9-24, i run at 8-8-8-20 though both sets should run together fine, as long as thier the same clock speed

OK awesome. I assume I just set the memory timing like that in the bios and does that affect the Mhz?
