According to a source, the General Administration of Press and Publication of PRC has assigned Shanghai News and Publication Bureau to make a thorough investigation into the issue relating to the joint venture established by Blizzard Entertainment and NetEase. NetEase and Blizzard may be punished for violating the relevant regulations of China.

Actually, China would prolly go so far as to note what the packet headers for the game represented and would prolly loop them back to the source. So it wouldn't matter if the chinese were trying to play on a US Server, they still wouldn't be playing at all.

The only way they could get around it is if they went though an encrypted proxy. Though I can't imagine how angry the government will be after it takes them 30 seconds to figure out they are using an encrypted proxy and start beating down their door with mortars.

Um.... yeah - hi - the news isn't about gold farming if you bothered to even read a single bit of the article. So no, not /thread

Lazy, or just rich - those who are buying.

Poor, or just greedy - those who are doing the dirty job.

Lose-lose, however you look at it.

Using the phrase /thread implies that what you had to say is enough complete all possible discussion of the topic at hand. In nearly all cases, it is an immature and presumptuous thing to say. Obviously when you completely miss the point of the article and thread, /thread is not appropriate.

This would hurt Blizzard's income a bit.

People will move out of country just to be able to play WoW?

Now that would be a totally new level of gaming addictions.

No, gold farming is a business. The Chinese government could care less about leisure for their citizens.
