can the i3 2120 be OCed? can any board that will support it support 16gb ram sticks? my buddy got some parts real cheap and doesn't have much money to spend. wanted to see if maybe i could get him a solid board cheap/used? especially if it can be oced.

It can not be multiplier overclocked, you can OC the BCLK with an OCing board but I believe that will OC the PCIE as well so if there are any expansion cards you'll have issues. I believe the maximum memory you can have on Sandy is 32gb so 16gb sticks should work but you need to read up on the board you'd be interested in.
