My Mom's old Dell won't stay consistently connected. I tried multiple ethernet cords, all that work on mine but not hers. I also tried a PCI adaptor, but that lacked connecting as well. I tried plugging her back directly into the DSL router, since we both have been sharing a hub, but that does not work either. Any ideas? I don't think I can reinstall Windows XP because I can't find her CD.

Make sure the dog hasn't chewed up the Ethernet cable. (It has happened!)
