Any other monitors you can test, to see if it's your video card?

More than likely, you just lost the cold cathode used for the backlight in the monitor. Or, just as probable, the inverter board just took a dump on you. Easy 1st step is to get a bright flashlight, & place it against the screen. If the cold cathode is not working, you should be able to see a faint image with the flashlight. A dark, or semi-dark room is best for that.

If you don't see any image, then swap out for another monitor to check for video output on your card. If you get signal through the 2nd monitor, but saw no image on the 1st w/ the flashlight. The controller board is bad, & the monitor should be replaced or rma'd. Same, if the backlight is bad.

Most commonly is the section of the main board that powers the backlight goes bad. I have had two monitors do that to me, fixed both of them.

pictures for your enjoyment.

The second monitor you can see the switch for the backlight inverter coming out of the top.
