Monitor Problem

I have the Power Color X1950XT GPU slightly overclocked and the latest version of ATI CCC.

I have two DVI monitors, plugged into both DVI ports on the GPU. One goes to the Dell 1907FP and the other goes to a secondary monitor, a dell 1707FP. I had been using a VGA adapter and been running the secondard monitor w/ VGA and it worked great. However, i ran a DVI cable over today and it went screwy.

With these settings:
Res. 1280x1024
Refresh Rate- 75HZ

I get a "Cannot display video mode Optimum Resolution 1280 x 1024 60HZ"

The optimum resolution is the same as the 1907FP, yet that displays it fine. Both monitors are setup as Clone. The weird part is, sometimes it works. I just had both monitors @ 70HZ running for hours with out even a flicker, so i know the 1707FP can do it. When I reboot, I get that message again. Change the resolution to 60HZ, nothing. I gamble if it will work or not. sometimes it will, sometimes it wont, doesnt matter what I do. Is it the DVI Cord? Its brand 30 ft. from the egg. Or the GPU? Or maybe drivers? The screen usually flickers on the 1707FP and then gives me the message. Any input would be repped and appreciated.

Update: Once i got the monitor to display right, I rebooted fine, and into windows. So, i changed the ATI profile to display to my TV. When i changed it back, i got that error message again. This is really bothering me now.
Are the two monitors identical?(Basically are they the same monitors?) If you're getting the refresh rate thing..could be something to do with the different refresh rates.
One is 2 inches bigger then the other, but thats it. Both same brand and model version. The weird thing is, in ATI display manager, I kept disabling and enabling the secondary monitor, and it eventually work. The problem is, when I switch to the TV and then back again, I got it mess with it all over again. Its like it can display it, but just wont always.

Hmm...I'm unsure exactly. But it could have something to do with different resolutions/refresh rates. At least that's what it sounds like to me...I'm unsure about all the technical stuff that goes into dual monitors. But I'd imagine that the refresh rates would have to be similar.

Well, both refresh rates/resolutions should be the same. heres a screenshot of ATI display manager. Even lowering the resolution wont work. Again, it will work for me for a bit then not, really bothering me

Turns out its the cable, hooked monitor up w/ 6 FT and worked fine. Guess DVI has a signal length of 5 meters, and repeaters are kind of expensive. oh well, gotta get a smaller cable then.
I had this problem also, I tried changing the refresh rate to 60 (from 59) and it worked like a charm!
