Hi,

I noticed that my monitor (the one in my sig) seemed to look kinda weird today. The top portion of the monitor seems to be darker than the bottom. It kinda seems that the contract on the top and bottom is different (Top being darker, bottom being brighter). Is this a sign that my monitor is gonna die soon? In addition, i noticed that the top of the monitor feels a bit warmer than the bottom part of the monitor, does that have anything to do with that im noticing.

Actually, that's quite normal for a TN LCD panel. The vertical viewing angle is rather shallow, so the top and the bottom of the monitor will appear to have different contrasts.

As for it being warm on the bottom, that's probably where the inverter for the backlight is, and it's normal for that to be warm.

In other words, there's nothing wrong with your monitor.
