Monitor wont display native 1920x1080

Alright so this is odd. I've been running my benq G2222HDL at its native res (1920x1080) for months and after booting from sleep last night, the monitor will only display 1600x1200. I can't go higher than that in my resolution settings in win7.

What i've done so far:

Check for registry errors.
Re-install Nvidia 275.33 drivers (clean install)
And yet windows gives me no option for my native resolution
even though it detects my 8800GT.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

If switching to a new DVI cable does not solve the problem, try resetting the monitor. I suspect this might be due to the monitor somehow sending the wrong EDID to the PC after waking up.

For Dell monitors, there is a 'Factory Reset' or 'Reset to Default' that you can choose from the monitor's Menu.

Also, try this 'power reset':- turn off monitor and disconnect all its cables (power and signal) from its ports. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds or so. Reconnect the cables and power up.
