If you weren't around earlier today, you probably missed out on the news that the folks over at Emulator Nexus have been working on a variety of tools that allows them to modify several aspects of DICE's late Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

Now, a video that was originally uploaded February 17th by NoFaTe (the founder of Emulator Nexus), has surfaced containing what depicts the process of emulating a Battlefield 3 server...all the way from setup, to launch and gameplay.

I would imagine it isn't piracy because the product is emulated, not stolen. I'm sure EA will try to shut this down with the quickness but it still isn't piracy by definition.

People should have been able to host their own dedicated servers anyway so we're just gaining that ability through methods EA won't like. Big deal

Hey guys remember the days where games came with both the client and server? And we could just run that dedicated server exe and host our own, with the parameters, mods, options that we liked/preferred?

They are kicking them in the balls at every turn because they are not doing with they should have done....

I actually agree, I love BF3 but we really should have had dedicated servers and mod tools. It would make for a much larger variety of gameplay options.
