Well, gotta keep in mind that each successive Windows (95, 98, XP) has been slower on games that were previously supported. Lots of gamers also played on 98 up until about every game only worked on XP.<br><br>
So, at least in that instance, newer technology is not always better. However, it will be necessary in the future, so eventually we'll have no choice but to upgrade to DX10.

Well i have a question.. my friend has decided to get a single X1950XTX toxic. </div>If he already has the power supply to run the 8800GTX (450+ watt <i>quality</i> brand) then I'd say wait. I mean it's coming out early next month. Only a few weeks.
